Slow Cooker Potato Soup With Hash Browns

1 20 ounce bag simply potato shredded hash brown potatoes 32 oz chicken broth 1 2 cup shredded carrots 7 slices of bacon cooked and diced reserve 2 sliced for. Add in the chicken broth cream of chicken soup and half of the bacon bits. Loaded crockpot hash brown potato soup. Cook on low for 8 hours or until hash browns potatoes are tender. Then all you have to do is thicken the soup melt some cheese on top and serve it up with all your favorite potato toppings. Since this recipe uses frozen shredded hash brown potatoes there s no need to peel. As well change up your soup by adding one cup each corn and or ham and 1 2 cup of celery.
Cook for 5 hours. First if you don t have a slow cooker you can make this stovetop in a large pot. Cover the pot and turn the heat on low. If you would like to use fresh potatoes however we recommend peeling and shredding them before continuing with the recipe.

Then cook the potatoes on simmer for 2 hours. Not for this easy slow cooker potato soup. Place the frozen hash browns chicken broth cream of chicken soup chopped onions and ground black pepper in a crockpot. An hour before serving cut the cream cheese into small cubes.
