Small White Bump On Tip Of Tongue
Olivia Luz
If this happens to one individual papilla then you will have a single one.
The top surface of the tongue is covered with small pink bumps called papillae which extend up from the mucosa. A tongue is an indicator of the health. The tip is the part of the tongue that holds the taste buds. The cause of the bumps largely influences the color of the bumps.
Sometimes these papillae become inflamed producing white bumps called lie bumps. Sometimes the white tongue spots are the result of a weakened immune system that causes whitish sores and ulcers to appear on the surface and tip of the tongue. This could be a lie bump especially if it appears at the tip. The painful bump on the tongue causes a lot of irritation and inflammation.
Small white bumps that appear on the back of your tongue under your tongue or on the surface of your tongue can be caused by a yeast infection or inflammation of your taste buds. The tiny bumps appear as white red or pink bumps on the tip of the tongue.
