When Can I Change My Belly Button Ring
Olivia Luz
I wash it frequently.
Once your belly button piercing heals you can change the jewelry on. My piercer told me wait 6 8 weeks to change my belly button ring. Just know that it wont. But everywhere on the internet everyone is like no you need to wait 6 months.
Your best bet is to play it on the safe side and wait it out. You might have heard horror stories about navel piercings getting infected and inflamed or the skin tearing when someone tried to change their jewelry for the first time. 6 months is a little bit of a stretch and if you take care of it you should be able to change it before then. Can i change my belly button ring early.
Wait to change your ring until the end of the normal healing period for navel piercings. I got it pierced a little less than a month ago but my body is very good with piercings and heals very quickly. My piercing is a little red other than that no pain. But ive read a ton of other false information about belly button rings on the internet too so im wondering has anyone else changed theirs at 6 weeks.

All body piercings run the risk of infection if the initial jewelry is changed too soon according to the association of professional piercers but belly button rings are especially susceptible to problems and have a minimum waiting period of 16 weeks before you can change it. If you don t see any signs of infection and you clean and sterilize your hands and jewelry the procedure will be easy and painless and you won t have anything to worry about.
