Dizziness or feeling faint is a normal symptom during pregnancy.

Dizziness and or headaches can also be a result of morning sickness but even if you re not feeling nauseous feeling light headed or dizzy could be a sign that you re pregnant. The main cause of dizziness in pregnancy is due to the rising hormones that cause your blood vessels to relax and widen. Prepregnancy dizziness is due to changes in the vascular system that cause shifts in your blood volume. Dizziness is not usually one of the first signs of pregnancy but it can be an early pregnancy symptom if you have low blood sugar due to a case of morning sickness.

It is more common in the first trimester but you may experience it throughout your pregnancy. You might occasionally feel lightheaded or dizzy when you re pregnant because your cardiovascular system undergoes dramatic changes. As with many first trimester symptoms it often goes away without intervention. Your heart rate goes up your heart pumps more blood per minute and the amount of blood in your body increases by 30 to 50 percent.

However dizziness may return later in pregnancy as the growing uterus puts. Dizziness can indeed be a sign of pregnancy. Dizziness before your period may be a sign of pregnancy. Dizziness is a common pregnancy symptom.
