Can I Use Foil Instead Of Parchment Paper For Brownies
Camila Farah
Aluminum foil does not offer non stick layer.
A lot of people see wax paper as a substitute for parchment paper and to some degree this is true. Depending on the use aluminum foil can be a substitute for parchment paper. You should grease the foil or use an oil or spray to make sure that you can remove your cookies easily. You can line your pan mold or tray with it.
When applying the foil neatly smooth it into the inner corners of your pan. However additional steps are required in order to create a similar end result. For lining countertops and areas where you are using messy ingredients such as flour wax paper can be a wonderful alternative. When it is running out you can use aluminum foil as a good parchment paper substitute.
In order to prevent food from sticking the top of the foil sheet should be greased. As suggested foil can also be used instead of parchment if you want a similar substitute. If you still have aluminum foil in your kitchen then that will be great. However because the aluminum foil does not have the same non stick properties as parchment paper it is recommended that you coat it with grease if you want the same non stick cooking effects.
