Small Black Caterpillar Like Bugs In House

Caterpillars come in a wide range of colors and may feel smooth or hairy.
Carpet beetles are covered in tiny hairs which are difficult to see unless you look at them under magnification. I have cream wardrobes in the bedroom and i ve just found loads of very tiny caterpillar like things on the side of it. If you live in north america and see small black worms in the house especially under the sink be thankful you don t live in portugal or australia where portuguese millipedes ommatoiulus moreleti are common if you don t like worms you won t like these shiny black undulating creatures and if you see one of them you can be sure there are hundreds more around in places you can t see them. Initially i thought they might have come from outside since my window cracks are quite large but now that they re appear quite so regularly i would like to know whether they are harmless or actual pests.
Sep 15 2011 i ve been finding these small fuzzy black bugs around there house recently. While these pests aren t dangerous to you they re unsightly and unsanitary. They re either big brown bugs or little black bugs scampering out of. Some are black or dark enough to appear black when observed with the human eye.
But nobody wants that place to be in their home. I keep finding tiny dark bugs somewhere between a dark brown and black ish colour around my bed about one a week and keep picking them up from my linen. To most people all house bugs are pretty much the same. Others might be mottled with spots of brown and black on a lighter background.
